Everyone's been having the flu lately and I'm no exception ): Except I've got a bloat in my stomach, so it hurts even when I walk or take deep breaths or laugh! Totally not exaggerating, I swear. I was rushing to school this morning because I was gonna be late for an assignment, and five minutes into my walk I was having difficulty breathing and had to walk painfully slowly. For someone who's so used to speedwalking (I actually enjoy it, wtf. Lol), it was horrible. I felt like a sloth and I'm sure I was blocking everyone's way.

Turkish Food at Far East Plaza!

 

Porkerella swore it was the bestest food around and that she would kill a cow(!!) for a meal here. It's the shop tucked in the side of Far East in a super rundown corner of the mall, and I admit the food looks yummy in the pics but it was soo meh to me. 

What I had:

It was stuffed with traditional turkish meat, sliced from the humongous kebab thingy (I peered at this without much interest; I've seen this WAY too many times so it's no longer interesting to me. I have such a short attention span!!Haha.) 

I'm not saying it sucks or putting this shop down cos I think most people would enjoy it, but it's got mutton and beef in it, and I bloody hate the smell of mutton. Way too gamey for me.

December Gold

I know I've left my blog running high and dry for the longest time ever, but I'm back with more craptastic pictures! And away.

N.B. Super short post; I'm feeling extremely lazy. Also, I'm in a Christmas mood for once! I feel so excited over everything, for some reason--the fab weather, all breezy with gloomy skies (yes there's something wrong with me. I mean, gloomy skies?? Wtf I know. Lol), the awesome glittery lights that give the entire stretch of Orchard Road renewed life, the (sometimes) tacky Christmas songs that blast over speakers wherever you go, the fake snow covering branches of artificial Christmas trees that also happen to be decked with lights. Everything about it! I know I sound like a failed, clichéd case, but I love Christmas. Partly because of the presents and fruitcake.

Present from my penpal! She asked me what my favourite colours are, and when I told her I love every colour in existence, she knitted this for me. By hand! I can't imagine making something like this. First of all, it's too pretty and well-knitted for someone as klutzy as me to make. Secondly, I'm in love with it. Sorry if I sound like I'm high on helium or something! Gah. Must be something in the (festive) air.

And! This cat is getting to be really popular on campus cos he (or she?)'s always spotted lazing around school. I'm so jealous of the spots of ginger-coloured fur! I'm actually jealous of a cat, holy crap. LOL.

After getting all egg-cited and squealing silently(didn't wanna wake the cat up lest s/he got annoyed and scratched us!) over it for about two minutes, this is what we did:

As you can see, Belles was clearly the most excited. She even flashed a peace sign. Lol! Elaine, on the other hand, looks really calm and collected and professional, like she poses for photos with random cats all the time. And if you haven't noticed, I was clutching my mac tightly in my hands as a protection barrier cos I was kind of afraid the cat would wake up and pounce on me angrily.

Cow's b'day card! It's a fake card cos I used regular paper. Hahaha.

And if there's one thing she relishes, it's a good cut.

The Useless Syndrome

Feeling mega useless cos I really should be studying, but all I can think of is finishing the latest Sophie Kinsella novel, Mini Shopaholic, taking photos and watching chic-lit movies like The Proposal, Priceless, Letters To Juliet and Confessions of a Shopaholic(now you know why!!).

Fluffy movies(that's how people describe them, but they're really not! I mean, Shopaholic is awesome.) with happy endings I guess. Because I can't handle it when the leading character is killed off, unless the protagonist is a whiny, super annoying, total two-faced dog. Omg y'know what I should make a list of the worst movies ever made!Yes that's what I'll do.

1) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory(the remake)
suck it, this movie was a bloody waste of time srsly. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, or even wish for someone I dislike to watch this, cos it's just so. bad. AND I would learn Chinese all over again to escape this torment.




2) King Kong(the remake)
Maybe I'm being slightly prejudiced towards apes, but I just *don't like them in movies. And I don't care that I was born in the year of the monkey, so walk away.

*Except in Mr. Magoo :D *sends animated hearts in his direction* hahaha



3) Inception
But only because I couldn't follow the plot! And then I started getting annoyed, first with the movie for being so so difficult to follow, and then with myself, because my brain takes such a long time to process stuff. I'm such a sourpuss LOL
(On the other hand, I love Ellen Page in the movie! Also, the part about the stairs that never seem to end. And then one of the characters runs up those stairs and plunges to his death. Sadist much ahhaha)



Anw! I still haven't posted pics of my Christmas presents so I'll put one(or two) up now.

Its taste is kind of hard to place, but basically it's white chocolate sandwiched between two thin slices of buttery yet feather light biscuits that have a fab sugary bite. Absolute melt-in-the-mouth experience! The chocolate tastes like the kind you find tucked in Cowhead cream cheese crackers lolol, but that's just my opinion! Anw, I love Cowhead cream cheese crackers so it is too a compliment, natch. Epitome of epic-ness. And I don't give give a damn that epic-ness isn't a word.

Annual Lengthy Post
with lots and lots of pics!

Okay, so it's not an annual thing yet, but I'm gonna damn well make it one.


Btw, this entry is gonna be a kind of watered-down version of my usual entries cos I've been way way too busy with all the shitty school assignments (haven't made a dent on any of them yet, which is awful cos when I procrastinate the stress just builds up until I reach my breaking point. So yeah, I guess I like pushing the boundaries and putting things off till the very last minute, when I'm just about on the brink of an emotional/mental breakdown. Snap! ) and last-minute gift-buying/gift-wrapping/shopping to do!!



Plus:

1) I've been too busy trying to tame my frazzled, frizzy mess of a mass of hair. It has a life of its own, and that annoys me to no end. I mean, c'mon! It's freaking hair, for crying out loud. How bloody uncooperative can my hair get? Actually, don't answer that.


2) I'm in the midst of packing my room. My old (Queen-size) bed was sagging badly, so my dad got me a new (non Queen-size) bed. No, it's worse than that. He got me a single-size bed wtf. And I'm saying this at the risk of sounding incredibly whiny and bratty but, y'know. It's horrible srsly. I hate the feeling of shifting in my bed and knowing there's a chance I'll trip over my blankets and fall on the floor. It's been three days and hasn't happened yet tho, so hopefully this horrible fear of mine will disappear soon. And on the bright side, it's so damn comfy! :D Ahhaha I'm totally contradicting myself.


3) There are way too many parties to go to. A- invited me but it's supposed to be a wild one, so I turned down the invite. And the party's supposed to go on from ten at night 'til dawn breaks, which is so ridiculous I think. I'd rather sleep(on my mega small single-size bed) than do that, LOL. Sorry, Ash!!




Um yep that's all I can think of right now.

My brain's kind of malfunctioning a little bit, if you know what I mean.

Absolute travesty! And yes I know dogs can't eat chocolate but these are scented bubbles, not actual chocolate, so don't you give me that accusatory look, mister!

Celebrated my eighteenth(!!!) birthday over the last couple of days!
Oh, and it falls on the 16th of November btw! So if anyone wants to send me presents, you're most welcome to :)

So anw, class ended ten am today which is ridiculous. Why the hell do they make us go to school for one bloody hour and then dismiss us? Oh well, at least I walk to school so it isn't that bad *show-off*

As usual, lazy to type a lengthy entry so pics!!


Celebrated at home on saturday. I love the food my mum cooks cos everything always tastes excellently yummy! Proof:


Potato salad with mayo(the only time i ever consume the disgusting white gooey stuff that closely resembles bird shit), dill(from our herb garden!!) and soft-boiled, fall-apart egg whites with rich, yellow egg yolks(which I hate. I don't care who cooks it; I hate egg yolks in any form and every form. And yes I'm a fussy eater hahaha)


Onion rings(which I didn't eat cos, well, Imma fussy eater like I said!) and Aglio Olio topped with black peppers in their shells and basil and garlic. Instant spag can't compare to the homemade kind at Pasta Fresca (the best Italian restaurant in all of Singapore!!) but it was cooked to al dente perfection. Yums! There was roasted chicken too but just for the sake of vegetarian/ vegan readers, I'm not gonna put a pic of it here. But it tasted so good srsly.

My sis' cake!

Hers was from Awfully Chocolate and I guess diff people have different preferences but this cake was not well appreciated by us cos it was just too fluffy and light and spongy, and my entire fam prefers dense,deathly-caocao-infused-esque kind of cakes. Which is why everyone devoured my cake before hers!Lol lol

I don't know what it is but there's something special about getting a cake on your birthday, and then have everyone you love gather round and sing a song to you.And it sounds so cheesy(haha) but it's true! What's gonna happen to me when I'm sixty five and no one loves me anymore(what if!)? I'm gonna be buying myself a cake from Bakerzin and wrapping up presents for myself and sending them to me and pretending people actually care about me!! No this won't happen! It can't. I'd rather jump then die lonely and unloved and uncared for. Yes I'm scared shitless of a lotta things :(

A freaking Alexa for Mulberry bag!!
Okay, an Alexa for Mulberry inspired bag but anw! I'd been looking for one for God knows how long and M- actually found the site selling this bag and everything, and I immediately began going on about how I was definitely getting this bag, no matter what. I even placed an order for one and paid and all but then on Tues(my b'day, natch!) they came to my house with E- too and when I opened my present I nearly fainted from happiness. Literally. (: And I got my refund too! Wtf happiness max
