December Gold

I know I've left my blog running high and dry for the longest time ever, but I'm back with more craptastic pictures! And away.

N.B. Super short post; I'm feeling extremely lazy. Also, I'm in a Christmas mood for once! I feel so excited over everything, for some reason--the fab weather, all breezy with gloomy skies (yes there's something wrong with me. I mean, gloomy skies?? Wtf I know. Lol), the awesome glittery lights that give the entire stretch of Orchard Road renewed life, the (sometimes) tacky Christmas songs that blast over speakers wherever you go, the fake snow covering branches of artificial Christmas trees that also happen to be decked with lights. Everything about it! I know I sound like a failed, clichéd case, but I love Christmas. Partly because of the presents and fruitcake.

Exhibit A:

Present from my penpal! She asked me what my favourite colours are, and when I told her I love every colour in existence, she knitted this for me. By hand! I can't imagine making something like this. First of all, it's too pretty and well-knitted for someone as klutzy as me to make. Secondly, I'm in love with it. Sorry if I sound like I'm high on helium or something! Gah. Must be something in the (festive) air.

And for the next photo..

A BABY PIC!

That's me on the left and my sis on the right with my gran sandwiched in-between two hyper, hyper babies with too-wide, toothless grins.

Smelly's dessert from MyVillage or somewhere:

And! This cat is getting to be really popular on campus cos he (or she?)'s always spotted lazing around school. I'm so jealous of the spots of ginger-coloured fur! I'm actually jealous of a cat, holy crap. LOL.

After getting all egg-cited and squealing silently(didn't wanna wake the cat up lest s/he got annoyed and scratched us!) over it for about two minutes, this is what we did:

Are you ready?

*obligatory drumroll*

We posed for pics with the cat. We bloody did! Ahhaha. Proof:

As you can see, Belles was clearly the most excited. She even flashed a peace sign. Lol! Elaine, on the other hand, looks really calm and collected and professional, like she poses for photos with random cats all the time. And if you haven't noticed, I was clutching my mac tightly in my hands as a protection barrier cos I was kind of afraid the cat would wake up and pounce on me angrily.

Cow's b'day card! It's a fake card cos I used regular paper. Hahaha.

And if there's one thing she relishes, it's a good cut.

Okay abrupt end, toodles!

On Hiatus!

Sorry for the extreme lack of updates. I realise I always begin blog posts with an apology, LOL. But the past few weeks have been crazy and filled with ups and downs, but tons of fun. I can't even begin to describe how much joy some people have brought into my lives. Thank God for my friends and family and one special person. I haven't laughed this much since Kelly and Bacon died. And now, I'm going on hiatus for maybe a month or longer. And I might never come back because I don't see the point in sharing certain things online anymore. But we'll see! :)

Skype & Other Quirks

Sorry for the extremely crappy title! For lack of better things to do, I've decided to update this inanely boring space because I haven't been in a blogging mood lately, but it's kind of come back now-even if only for, um, ten mins? Haha. Omgosh, I sound so incoherent. Anw I'm just Skyping now! Yes this is a short post. Skyping AND reading The Oatmeal.com (: Okay, short post like I said!
Toodles!

S-M-I-L-E

Sorry for lackg of updates! I should really have been posting more regularly, given I'm on holiday and have pretty much all the time in the world to kill. But to make up for my extreme laziness and lackadaisical attitude towards blogging,  I've uploaded a ton of pics and screenshots (like literally a whole collection). Scroll down for pics if you aren't in the mood for a super boring (but short) entry.

Met Is this morning for breakfast at Beauty World! I was craving Macs, and I know it's not the kind of breakf most people would typically crave for, but I'm different. I have strange cravings every once in awhile, and if I feel like eating something, I go to every extent to try to get it. Hahaha I sound like a pig. Anw, we agreed to meet at around 10.30 at the bus stop, and I nearly didn't make it cos my hair was still dripping wet and refused to dry. Shitty problems! I have something against leaving the house with wet-or even damp-hair. It just makes me feel grossed out. I mean, what would people think if they saw me? I can practically read the thought bubbles hovering above their heads, like: "Haha look at that girl there. Hahaha her hair is soo greasy! I bet she has hygiene issues. I'm glad I'm not her friend. HAHAHAHA!!"
So, yeah.
Anyhow, I've compiled a short list of *things that make me smile!
*Inspired my colourmekatie. Her blog's a must-see! Visit it pronto. <3

Sorry 4 Party Rockin'

I am so embarrassed to admit this, but I've fallen in love with what I used to believe was-and still kind of do-the majorly lian-ish Party Rock Anthem. Like, wow. How low have I sunk:( It all started with my cousins who shuffled at the dinner table. Also, I attempted to shuffle and got stitches one minute into the video! WTF. *palmface* Never. Again. I can't stop shuffling, tho. Can someone please feed me with aspirin or something! (Yes I know aspirin is for headaches or something and won't keep me from my annoying new habit, but maybe it'll make me dizzy? And I'll be all, "Omgosh I feel dizzy. I see dolphins! Hahhaha oh crap I'm hallucinating. Must be the aspirin." Okay, forget it that sounds like bull. Plus what are the chances aspirin would have that kind of effect huh. Lol) Uhm so yeauh. Not gonna work. I guess I'll just shuffle until I grow sick and tired of it. And yezz I know I'm totally out of it, no one enjoys the song anymore except me haha.

Btw I'm on holiday now! Did I mention this before? I forget, sigh. Brain's starting to fail me again. But every day has been fab!! Doesn't matter so much anymore that I wasn't picked for the school trip to France; I wouldn't have liked the stifling itinerary anw. All those lessons would drive me insane I think! I mean, seriously? I think I know enough French for now. Bonjour, je m'appelle Rebecca, je suis etudiante etc-- not bad eh!:D I'm so proud. Lol fine, not really. But who gives a damn! There's a reason Google Translate was invented. Okayy enough ranting, pics!

Completely-unrelated-to-rest-of-post pic of an underwater scene from Narnia: Dawn of the Voyage Treader!
So purdy. (:

Guess what musical Aly and I have booked tickets to this year end!
Hint: GREEN. Witch.
(see pic heh)

Neoprints taken at Cathay Cineplex or Orchard Cineplex, dunno which is which. I always mix the two up haha. But anw, the one near H&M (homg I love, love, love it! It's better than the ones in HK-and I freaking visited all the stores in Hong Kong. Literally every one hahaha)

So old school! :)
Ok lazy to continue. Also, I feel blisters coming on on my ankles cos I've been trying to break into my Steve Madden-looking shoes. 9pm show soon! Toodles noodles xoxo

Another Departure

So, Bacon's passed away.

Yes, at just three months old. How bloody unfair can fate be sometimes? Do all animals have to die that way? I mean, c'mon. He was fine all the way, and then the next day we went out (whywhywhy!! *smacks head*), bought some hamster bedding and contemplated getting him a new cage before deciding not to and returning home. When we got upstairs. I suddenly had the strangest feeling, and all I was thinking of before my sis and I had even seen him was, "Oh gosh, please let Bacon be okay"--which I know seems a tad dramatic, but I was still on edge cos of Kelly's passing away and everything that had happened in-between since her departure.

So anw, J and I rushed to the cage and saw that he was lying outside of the hippo we'd gotten him, the one he always slept in without fail. By then we obviously knew something was wrong, and J was freaking out and started mumbling to herself (it sounds a bit comical but it totally wasn't).  Trying to be brave (yess I know I'm more chicken than a chicken wtf. And I swear I won't add anymore useless comments like this one in brackets anymore), I lightly touched his body, and it just flopped right back down. It was the second scariest thing I'd ever seen in my life, right after watching Kelly dying.

He wasn't dead then, but he left within twenty minutes. Watching him gasp as he fought against the will to live or leave (i LOVE aphorisms! Okay, no more useless comments) was so painful. And I don't like raking up sad memories, so I won't elaborate further. But after burying him in the garden under a coral tree (right next to Kelly's hut) in a sandbath filled with bedding and all his favourite food, it immediately started drizzling, a light rain that lasted five mins max and comforted us considerably.Oh and he died exactly four weeks after Kelly on the same day :(

Okay ending off with happy pics of Bacon! :

"Look, I can climb out of the damn cage. Hahahahah"

Camwhore!
*Cue Rebecca Black's My Moment lol*

"Hai."

"Can you see me?"

"Okay I think you can."

"Yes I can stand too, just like you. Take that, sucka!"

"I'm officially tired of you. Go away" Hahaha.

Rest in peace, Bacon!

R.I.P x

A lot has happened since the last time I posted here (seriously, a lot) and I've been feeling less cheerful than usual because Kelly's passed away. Yes, my awesome dalmatian who we loved such a damn lot. She's been so incredibly strong all the while, and we knew her time had come to an end that Sunday afternoon.

Also, sorry for the mellow mood this entry's taken on. I won't be blogging til after the exams but in the meantime, visit my tumblr page here. Reblog stuff, read it, and wipe that frown off your face! Hahaha I feel like a hypocrite. I should totally be taking my own advice, but it's so hard not waking up to her barking and having breakfast in silence. So hard coming home from a hard day out and not having someone to confide in and cheer me up. And even though she lost her hearing a year back, she was fortunate to even have been born with the ability to hear cos something like 20% of dalmatians are born deaf or partially so. So! She was extremely lucky and oh so loved (: Oh, gosh. I miss her so badly. It's like having a part of my life being taken away from me without my consent, and it sucks.

Rest in peace, Kel.
I love you so much and I'll never forget you. (And I know this sounds mushy but I don't give a damn, lol)
xoxo

P.S* I just reread my entry and I sound like I'm about to commit suicide and I've left a suicide note behind on my blog wtf. Ohwell, I'm pretty sure I'll get over this (sooner or) later.

P/P.S*Also, heading to clemall tmrw with the awesome bb to have Mac. I've never tried their hot cakes, ever. Yess, I know. Okay, I think maybe I did once when I was like five. But that doesn't count; I hated pancakes then. Which is freakin ridiculous! How could anyone hate pancakes? *points accusatory finger at five year-old self* Also, all the formal presentations are finally over! Yay. Now I just have to get the shitty final project and exams over with, and we'll be off to Sentosaaa. Fab way to get my mind off my largely sucky life, even if just for several hours.

Polyvoring is fun.

I'm back! Altho this post isn't gonna be in kuching, hahaha. I know I promised, but after a while I just kind of grow bored at the thought of having to split one helluva supermassively awesome trip into single blog entries. Off to the hawker centre for dinner with the fam soon!

Anyhow, the title clearly has some reference to this post. See:

Breakf at trattoria!

Mine:
the omelette was yummy enough, but the danish pastries at the side.. meh.Seriously, I got a shock when I bit into the baby *french accent!!* croissant. If you've ever read books or watched a show like Adamms Family(what's it called again? Addams Family? Lolzzz lazy to google it) where there are creepy kids who love weird stuff, you'll find them eating this.
Honestly, it was the grossest thing ever. Kind of like rubber-infused play doh-esque pastry. Except edible. If you ever head to Trattoria at Somerset 313 for breakf, do not. Try. This. I'm doing you a favour telling you early! heheh

Last pic! Kelly:
<3
I haven't blogged about her of late, but I have my reasons. She can no longer walk cos of arthritis, and all she does is lie in the same spot the entire day until I carry her up and make her walk. It's awful seeing the progression of arthritis, and I would kill to have her recover. Also, the vet wasn't much of a help either boooo. She just sort of poked and prodded at Kelly's legs, tsk-ed a little and washed her wounds with saline.Helpful much.
Okay this is depressing. I'll be back soon and hopefully in better spirits!

Kitschy Kuching!

Okay, so the heading hardly makes sense but who gives a damn, ahahaha. And yes, it's about one of my favourite places ever. Kuching!! God, I love the people there. And the food is freakadelically amazing, I swear. I mean, it does lack variety (NO PASTA FRESCA!! Also, the Coffee Bean outlets there don't even sell *french accent hehe* croissants wtf. And the kfc manager was puffing on his disgusting cigs with his staff! Omgosh. Off-putting much!) But that's just a short list. There's so much about the place that I love :)

Terminal 1 Lounge!

We adjourned to Coffee Bean shortly after, just because. Chose the most plushy seats that had sunlight spilling through the glass windows:
 Comfycomfycomfy!

F-f-food:
Croissant, chicken pie and a sausage roll or something. I honestly can't recall. But my memory's always sucked, so there's nothing to be worried about lol. Also, the croissant was so dammn sinfully good. I'd take it over a Delifrance one any day! But it's WAY more ex. $3.80 I think. Or was it six bucks? :/ Oh, who cares. It was worth it.

The view we got:

Then it was off to the plane! We sat Jetstar, and it seemed a little squeezier than Tiger but it was fine I guess. You pay for what you get! Altho I'm totally gonna sit business the next time I fly if I can help it. And I don't care if it costs a bomb, I'll blow my salary on it! Hahahahah okay maybe not.

Anw, look at my furry jacket!!! *silent scream* Grabbed it at the Victoria Jomo clothes buffet. The minute M and I saw it, we knew we'd gotten our thirty five bucks' worth :D =D

The cotton candy-like clouds:
Blows you away dussenit! When I was little I'd see giraffes and baby elephants prancing (?can elephants prance? Lolol) among the clouds with Little Foot (from Land Before Time!). I still do it sometimes and it never gets old.

Anw I should backtrack a little! I know a crazy lot of people have never heard of Kuching (ever), but it's my mum's hometown, see. Every time my mum returns on one of her annual visits, she gets majorly emotional cos she just loves the place so much. But apparently she can't see herself migrating back, because there's not enough shopping to do lolol. Ohwell! My grandparents are awesome to live with, too. We had a bonfire on our last day there, and it was kickass. Pics soon!
And! The stream near their house is filled with tiny fishes swishing their shimmery tails like little mermaids haha. I'll upload more pictures soon--promise. My nine pm show's starting, so toodles!

P.S Forever 21's megastore has openeddd yessszz! I'm in serious need of retail therapy.
P/P.S* These pics are mad boring, but I'm blogging in order of the trip so that was part of day one! More soon xoxo
